Size.018 Beadalon is 49 strands of stainless steel coated with nylon. This is a thick diameter stringing material that is best used for heavy beads. Size.018 requires no needle for easy stringing and will not kink. You use crimping beads to attach your findings and crimp covers to hide the crimps. .018 is very strong with a break strength of 26lbs. Its only limitation is the diameter size which may be too thick for certain beads such as gemstones and pearls. For professional looking designs using heavier beads there is no better choice than Beadalon .018.
